MASTANMUSIC HOUR GOES LIVE; BAND PERFORMANCES IN FRONT OF AUDIENCE AT
KELLY'S OLYMPIAN – FIRST SHOW SCHEDULED FOR JULY 11TH WITH THE DRY COUNTY
CROOKS, HILLFOLK NOIR, THE DIRTY BIRDS
MastanMusic, the brick and mortar audio/video production studio, and music
label, owned and operated by producer/singer-songwriter Jeremy Wilson
(Dharma Bums/Pilot), has produced a podcast for the past two years
entitled The MastanMusic Hour.
A webcast featuring indie, alternative, Americana, and psychedelic rock
music, produced by Wilson and independent producer/engineer and front man
for Silverhawk, Sam Densmore, The MastanMusic Hour has been on schedule,
the first and third Monday of each month, since its inception in June
2006.
Based around two parts - part one being dedicated to spinning cool tunes
by bands all over the world with contact and bio information about them,
and part two containing a live segment where artists and bands play live
from the MastanMusic Studio in SE Portland accompanied by a video single
shot by a 3-camera crew and later edited – the podcast has grown to over
forty thousand subscribers a month.
Now The MastanMusic Hour will move to a club showcase and webcast,
recorded live on the second Friday of each month at Kelly's Olympian in
downtown Portland, Oregon.
Bands' performances and interviews will be recorded to 16-tracks and
filmed in front of a live audience. The first showcase will be Friday,
July 11, 2008.
A "Roots Punk Americana" show to kick-off the MastanMusic Hour Club
Showcase and Webcast, the line-up will include Olympia, Washington's The
Dirty Birds, Boise, Idaho's Hillfolk Noir (featuring members of Built to
Spill), and Portland's own outlaw country-rock outfit The Dry County
Crooks.
Tickets are $8.00 at the door. Doors are at 8pm, show starts at 9pm.

The MastanMusic Hour - Club Showcase - Begins July 11th!
Beginning Friday July 11th The MastanMusic Hour started hosting a monthly band showcase at http://www.kellysolympian.com/" target="_blank">Kelly's Olympian in downtown Portland at 426 SW Washington where we record and film our podcast live at the club. You can come on down to the shows and check out the bands we think are great. Then, later in the month you can go to our website, or iTunes and check out the recordings and video from what we hope become memorable nights of music and good times.
We hope you will join us for our 1st MastanMusic Hour Band Showcase Showcases at the newly vamped Kelly's Olympian which is all geared up and ready to rock with it's new music room and sound system. Here's how things are shaping up.
