McAuslan Brewing has extended the deadline for the St-Ambroise Music
Program, an initiative that offers $10,000 in cash to Quebec musicians.
Originally set for October 5th, the deadline has been extended to
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009.
As well as giving artists more
time to participate, the Montreal microbrewery has also made it easier
for artists to be eligible for the cash grants. Now, artists who book a
show at the Centre St-Ambroise are automatically eligible. And if
performing at the Centre St-Ambroise is not possible, artists can then
simply fill out the online application form by December 1st to be
eligible for the program.
The St-Ambroise Music Program will
give away 1 Grand Prize of $5000, plus 5 runner-up prizes of $1000
each. The winning artists will be selected by a jury of music industry
veterans, including staff at the Centre St -Ambroise, promoters,
agents, managers and members of the media. The jury will be announced
in the coming weeks.
