After two months off we played two shows, the Blue Moon and the Dubliner.  Of the two the Dubliner was the better.  A friend of mine who had never seen us play was in the audience that night.  As we took a break after the first set I walked over and asked, how he liked the show.  I had to brace myself when he ask, "Can I be perfectly frank with you?"  "Sure", I said.  He tells me, "You guys are a bar band", as if it was a bad thing.  My initial thought was, what a better to see a bar band than in a bar.  His next comment was, "Loose the hat, it doesn't do anything for your image."  Loose the hat?  Not the hat.  Then I realized, Survey Cez used to be all about the hats.  What happened to us?  Maybe the days of hats are truly over.  Oh well...  we'll have to plow ahead topless.

By the way, I want to send thank yous out to our fans that showed up.  Eli, Char, Karen, Karl, Seana, Johnny, Paul, Kevin, Mike, Robert, Reed, and the rest of you who's names I can't quite remember at this particular moment.  A special thanks to the Plaintiffs!

And now we're off for another month.
