As
the dust settles over Doncaster Racecourse following the awesome weekend we had
putting on Tattoo Jam, we bring you the ‘Back To School’ September issue of
Skin Deep. “You! Yes, you! Stand still, laddie!”
Skinshokz
is home to Roy and Paul Priestly, brothers in arms and purveyors of stunning
tattoos, family style. They like to keep things light-hearted and fun whilst
putting down tattoos of quite sublime quality and consistency.
It
can sometimes be tough entering a field where one of your parents has excelled
(and for every Jason Bonham, there’s a Jordi Cruyff) but one Jeremiah Barba has
stepped up to the mark in spectacular fashion. Son of the legendary Kari Barba,
Jeremiah has carved his own path and worked alongside Last Rites’ finest.
The
Baron and Missy Macabre provide us with splendid tales of their freak show
shenanigans as they feature in our profile pages.
Susana
Alonso caused a stir with her poster for the Brighton convention earlier this
year and we’ve managed to natter with her about her pretty pin-ups and
burlesque girls.
Skin
Pix Portfolios is our supplement for September and features entire pages
dedicated to some of the world’s best, including Uncle Allan, Sweet Laraine,
Jason Butcher and Jee Sayalero.
Convention
coverage is more bountiful than ever before with Bournemouth and Derby in the
UK, New York City from across the pond, and because it offered up so much great work
to shoot, we bring you Skin Pix from Liverpool!
The
regulars are here in the familiar form of Fallout, Reviews, and Tattoo Tour, so
there’s aplenty on offer to keep you going until next time…when we bring you
über coverage from Tattoo Jam
Enjoy!
