Hi Everyone,

I wanted to write this message on a more personal note because I want to avoid all of the promotional bullshit that you inevitably run into when in a band.

To some it may have seen like Recovery Child had disappeared for the last little while, which holds some truth. We had spent much of our time over the last few years just promoting the band, which consists of a lot of legwork that has nothing to do with music. Being creative was difficult. We knew that we had to write an album but it always seemed like a chore when there was so much other business to take care of... all of the stuff that people don't really see but is a necessary evil with being in a band. At that point we decided to disappear for a bit. We spent every week of that time hacking away at writing a new album, and the best part is that the more we did it, the more creative we got and the more we wrote. We now have more than enough material for our next album, which we are recording this summer. We didn't want to leave you in the dark anymore though. We have appreciated every single person's support since Recovery Child began and we are confident that you will love where the band is heading.

As a thank you for your patience and continued support, we decided that we'd put a demo of a new song on our myspace. The song is called I Will Defend, which we tracked back in the fall but only recently decided to finish. The song will likely end up on our album but we intend to re-record it. For now, you can enjoy it as it is.

ALSO...

If you have yet o become a "fan" please check out our Facebook page by searching for Recovery Child under the "Pages" section of Facebook. We have uploaded the new song and will be updating it regularly with news regarding the new album and shows.

Thanks again everyone. From us to you...
