....................

Okay, so lately I have come to the realization that most things make no sense
but in the moment, before any deep thought is placed, it can seem like it makes
all the sense in the world. Let me explain what I mean.

1.) Sweeping the floor at a restaurant (as your job)

1.) Sure, keeping the place clean is a great thing but
why continue to do it?

2.) Having a job that you hate, and yet continue to do

2.) Sure, keeping a job is a great thing but why
continue to do it?

3.) People in "third world" countries send their children to work in
sweat shops.

3.) Sure, cheap products are a great thing but why have your
children do it?

The answer is MONEY. People work, get paid, spend, and repeat as necessary.

Sweeping the floor is an important thing to do but if it were not their job
surely they would not do it monotonously every night, obviously that person
wants currency for something of value to them.

Keeping a job yeah very important but if you hate it and it just makes you
dread to be conscious don’t do it. There is nothing stopping you from being
happy, do what you want, and do what you feel is truly best because if you are
unhappy chances are the people around you are too because of it.

People in third world countries send their kids to work in these sweat shops
for very small amounts of money but they do it anyway, a similar thing was
happening during the industrial revolution, children as young as six years old
were forced to labor in factories to produce goods (because the families needed
the currency for food)

now, listen in an ideal world we would never have a use for money, but because
some people want everything for nothing this cannot happen. People have become
brainwashed thinking money is the ultimate barter tool and that it is an
accurate figure on "pure work" or "life time" that is
placed on the activity done but once one ponders the subject it is quickly
realized that the dollar has no meaning whatsoever and that it is backed by
nothing, no not gold, not silver, not even something as ridiculous as old pop
tart wrappers nope the only thing that backs the American dollar is paperwork
saying how much it should be seen as being worth.

People work their entire lives doing the same activities over and over again
until they die. What do they have to show for it? Not a thing, just age. If one
is doing something that made them learn and it was something that they enjoyed
then at least they have happiness and the money/fame/honor was just a byproduct
of them doing something productive to their well being.

Don’t work your entire life away without realizing that life is just a sandbox,
we all have to leave eventually so don’t spend all your time trying to keep
your socks clean. Hop in build a sandcastle, even bury a foot or two but don’t
sit idle and let your day go before you can enjoy it.

..

..

I haven’t read through this a second time so I hope it makes
some kind of sense. Basically what I am trying to say is…

Today is your day.

Seize it.

Carpe Diem.

Cool! That's why I currently like my job. Not only am I making money but I am doing something important. The children I work with see me 10 to 11 hours out of a 24 hour day four times a week if not five sometimes. I am helping to nurture them and develope their personalities. It may not seem like much to some but to me it's a big deal and a lot to think about. I feel my job makes a difference not just the money. And that makes me happy.
Good blog sir!
