Dane Cook Breaks Laugh Factory Stand Up Record With Seven Hour Performance
Hollywood, CA- Dane Cook broke Dave Chappelle's six hour and twelve minute stand up record with an astonishing seven hour performance at the Laugh Factory on New Years Day continuing the heated rivalry between the two comedians.
A mere month after Chappelle's latest record topping performance, Cook entertained audience members with an appearance that lasted until 6:43 a.m. Cook even sent out for dinner at 4:30 a.m. to provide the crowd with the nourishment to sustain them through his mesmerizing seven hour performance.
The rivalry between Cook and Chappelle began last April when the latter first broke all Laugh Factory stand up records with a six hour and five minute performance topping Cook's three hour and fourteen minute uninterrupted set. Most recently, Chappelle returned to the Laugh Factory stage to break his own record after hearing that Cook was planning to become the all time stand up performance leader. Former Laugh Factory record holders include Richard Pryor, Jim Carrey and Rodney Dangerfield.
"If this rivalry keeps up I'm going to turn the Laugh Factory into a Bed and Breakfast," says owner Jamie Masada.
