Boy do we have a talk coming. haha
Well, to start things off, I would first like to say thank you so much for all the continued support in all that we do. In the last year, we have grown way farther than that of anything we could imagine. We have been touched on such a large level of kindness and acceptance that it has encouraged us to take what we do to a new level.
Thank you.
Now the news.
Tim Rader (keyboards) has been a driving and a large contributing force to the creativity of this band since day one, and as some of you know has worked with Shawn (drummer) for over 5 years now in the old band "Atlas of Id". Well its with a heavy heart that I announce that Tim has decided to bow out of the world of music to continue with school. This was not a decision out of animosity or frustration with the band, but more of a personal choice of where he wants to go with his life, and we, the rest of S.A. fully accept his decision and support him with everything we have. He still believes this band will go farther than anyone imagined and wishes he was there for the ride it takes us on. So in that news, Tim will be playing his last 2 shows with us in Arizona (details on that later) May 29th, and Epicentre on May 30th for the Forgive Durden show. Please take the time if you can to drop by our comments and wish the best for him, and if you can make it, come see his last 2 shows. And Tim, if your reading this....Eat a dick quitter. (lmao just a joke guys. dont "tweet" that shit or anything). We love the fuck out of you Tim.
So. What the fuck does that mean for Silent Armada?
Well I'm happy to announce the addition of a bassist (finally) Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jake Armbruster. Jake is an old bandmate of mine in my old band, Edge of You, and a good friend for many years. in secret we've actually been working with him before Tim decided his life change, so we are beyond confident in his ability to improve this band's sound. he's also an amazing guitarist....so keep that in mind... :-). you'll see what he can do on the next 2 shows.
The 5th member.
Alot of you are probibly still wondering how are we going to replace Tim. and the answer is this...Were not. Tim was an awesome element to the band that can't be "replaced". However, that does not mean that we cant progress the same, if not farther than anything we have done before. Which is why we are announcing there will be a "secret" 5th member in the band. We can't say who, or what they will be doing because of obligations involving that person. I will say they will be announced
on
THE FORGIVE DURDEN SHOW ON MAY 30TH! We are quite confident you'll like the change.
Also, we'll be giving clues throughout the rest of the month. Have fun guessing.
In conclusion.
So are we going to change? whats our sound going to be? are we still going to be "good"? Well to answer a few, I can say of course we are going to change, and thats exactly whats supposed to happen. What I can tell you is that we are going to work harder than ever to write with all of our hearts, play with all of our souls, and progress like there is no tomorrow, in an attempt to really bring something original and amazing to the world of music today, and we are excited that you are still with us on this journey....
Thank you for your time and I hope to see you all soon.
Please, take some time and tell us what you think of all this.
