we have been stirring some recipes in my new mixer, most unfinished, until i learn how to use it properly.
so last night i got out the old trusty 4 track and we did a version of one of the new songs we have been working on: 'cupid's cusp'.
here is our demo of it. lyrics and more stories below.

lyrics.....
you are hovering along
somewhere you want
and where you are
you are ambling between
some thing you lost
and things you want
you are balancing amidst
some kind of angel
some kind of devil
you're prefering to be
some times with me
then times you're not
it's a fine line between the threshold and the edge
it's a long time between decision and action
an open field still has you locked down
an open door feels like it's latched on
wilderness will shackle you
freedom will just trap you
cupid's cusp, cupid's cusp
lost amidst cupid's cusp.

lastly, here is a soup from our good friend Emmet.
Red Bean Soup
Red Beans: 1 cup
Mushrooms: 5-6 medium size, chopped
All purpose flour: 2 tbsp
Onions: 1 small, sliced thinly
Vegetable Oil: 2 tbsp
Spinach: 75 gr, chopped
Tomato Paste: 2 tbsp
Salt
Pepper
Chili powder
Directions:
1. Wash and soak the Beans in 5 cups of water overnight. You can avoid this step, but I strongly recommend it (It makes Beans more digestible and reduces the cooking time by 45-60 min).
2. Place beans in a pot and cover with water 2 to 3 above the level of beans. Bring to boil, and then reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 2 hours or until the beans are well cooked.
3. Add mushrooms and cook for 10 more min.
4. Add flour, tomato paste, chopped spinach, salt, pepper and chili powder and cook for 5 more min.
5. Meanwhile heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and fry until slightly golden.
6. Turn off the heat and add fried onions.
7. Serve either warm or chilled.
