We are happy to announce that we have a new bassist. We loved all the demo tapes and submissions we got but we ended up with Sam Serpe from Charleston SC. He was in a band that we toured with in 2006 and he is a great fit for our camp and family.
 He will be playing with us November 21st for the first time and we hope you all will show support!
Andrij and Jimmy are definitely missed but we are excited about the new lineup with Mikey and Sam,
also it is cool that all ur names are matching initials.

Shelflyfe is currently auditioning PROFESSIONAL bassists
starting November 1st.
This is our fulltime jobs so we are not looking for people that want to play with us as a hobby, you must be FULLY committed to touring and the dedication needed to make this work.


REQUIREMENTS:
Open availability (you will have a 2 week or so notice for touring or shows.)
A valid drivers license and at least 18 yrs of age (we are a business)
You must have a love for OUR music and look - both are very important to us!
We pride ourselves on a huge stage prescence so keep that in mind please!

EQUIPMENT/MUSICAL ABILITIES:
1 or 2  8x10 Ampeg Cab(s) or compat.
Ampeg SVT4 pro or compat. amp w/touring cases
Pro 4 string Bass that is setup to be in Drop C tuning...
MUST be able to sing backups!








UPDATES:

It has been a good year for us: we dropped our full length album, toured a lot, got to hang out and jam with bands we love like Sevendust, Red, Breaking Benjamin, Framing Hanley and a ton more... We got to play a bunch of states and meet a bunch of people all the way down the East Coast, froze in the van in Ohio, got sunburned in Carolinas, got the flu in Virginia... haha anyway, had a great great year and we owe a lot of it to you guys!

Some of you diehard fans over the last few years also noticed that with a heavy heart we have lost two great talents with the departures of James Sahrle on bass and Andrij Kompanijec on guitar. They both have been with the band for years and years and years and it is hard to see them go. Both of them are still very mush a part of our family and supportive, Andrij and James both have strong family ties at home and the touring and being on the road all the time has proven very difficult. James and his family just welcomed a beatiful baby girl and Andrij is getting married soon to his beautiful girl! Anyway, make sure you make it out October 17th for Andrij's farewell show and keep in contact with both of them... they will be sorely missed! 

Life is an amzingly short and crazy time and we thought about changing the name and moving forward but all of us agreed that Shelflyfe is an ironic name, it has proven that the Shelflyfe of this band has been much longer than we anticipated. So starting in November a new lineup... We will be launching the new site and new info on November 1st so keep checking back!
