2008 is almost here and the FretLess Guitar will continue to open the ears of the world to MicroTones............AC

NYC FretLess Guitar Festival 2008 will be held Crash Mansion on September 20th and 21st for $15 a night or $25 for both nights. More update coming soon. Fretless Guitar Festival

Hear and see Michael perform the role of Scylla in Johnny Reinhard's Polymicrotonal work "Odysseus" on May 4th, 2008 as part of the American Festival Of Microtonal Music. VVV will also open that night performing Solo FretLess Guitar. The full event runs from May 3rd - 4th, 2008 and is being held at the Cathedral Church Of St. Paul in Boston, MA. More details about Vick's performances will be up soon.

Hear Michael ATONAL Vick with Todd Campbell at Furman University for a Performance and Workshop on Cultural Tunings and Fretless Guitars January 10th, 2008 at 7 pm.

Below is a detailed description of the event.

The Furman University Music Department presents a workshop and performance based on Cultural Tunings and Fretless Guitars. This event will focus on tuning systems from around the world using the fretless guitar as the vehicle of expression. Arabic and Indian tuning systems will be discussed as well as Just Intonation tunings and various Equal Temperament Systems. Compositions using these tunings will be performed, and the notations of each tuning system will be displayed to help understand how to hear and compose using Microtones.There will also be an in depth discussion on the benefits and opportunities of playing fretless guitars. A variety of fretless guitars with fingerboards made of metal, glass and ebony will be featured as well as the 11 string fretless Godin Glissentar. This event is truly for anyone interested in making connections between the past and the future of music.
