I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the welcome home celebration for the 2nd Battalion 4th Marines at Camp Pendleton yesterday. They just got back from their Second tour of duty in Iraq. Grilling burgers isn't much but it was a great feeling to serve those men and women who risked their lives for us and I'm glad I was able to thank them personally.

It was a clear, sunny day on the beach,  the Surfaris played up on the stage while the families played together in the sand. Even the families of the eight marines killed in action were there.  There is a memorial service for them today. Think of them, pray for their families and all of those still serving over there.

It was an honor to meet those marines and I am grateful for their service.
