I met a man named Joseph yesterday. Right before he turned in about a dollars' worth of aluminum and glass to the local recyler, he came up to me and was explaining how he used for inspiration the dollar sign sewn onto his beenie cap,

"because isn't that what everyone wants?",

then he bummed a ride from me because he didn't have a car.

i'm down for money. It's obviously necessary and we've been brought up
to know it's needed to live up to the standard you are comfortable living.
i just think it's funny when I see rap videos and hear songs where they are
all about the benjis, when in reality they probably don't know or care
very much about the dollar itself.

that article on "earth music" is pretty rad. i want to sample it.
