Category: Life

September 11th 2001

I am reminded by the emotions I still feel to this day.

When I am overcome with emotion I tend to be at a loss for words.  To this day....

7 years later...I still feel so much.

So very much.

I lost my brothers & sisters that day...

altho I had never met them...that day...

They became my family.

I just want to take time out & say to all those that lost their loved ones...
I am so sorry.

I want them to know that their family..their loved ones...

will always have a place in my heart.

 I will always remember them.

They will always be a part of me.

To all of those out there, in this country & abroad, who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the love of country...

Thank you.

You are always in my thoughts.

I will never forget.

 I remind myself every year....

I remind myself of the emotions that I felt that day...early in the morning...

I will never forget.

I still bring flowers to a makeshift memorial...Every year the flowers seem to get  fewer...That saddens me.

I hope others will continue to remember the lives lost that day & the men & women out there that continue to sacrifce their lives for us.

The lyrics to one of my favorite songs...

God Bless America

Land that I love

Stand beside her

And guide her

Thru the night with the light up above.

From the mountians to the prairies,

To the oceans

White with foam...

God bless America...

My Home Sweet Home

As a child this song always sparked a emotion in me...After 9/11 that spark became a flame.

This is one girl that will always remember.

I Promise...I will never forget!

A~

AMEN . I REMEMBER THAT DAY LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY ......IT WAS A VERY SCARY DAY IN ALL OUR LIVES .IT JUST LETS US KNOW HOW PRECIOUS LIFE IS AND WE SHOULD NEVER TAKE IT FOR GRANTED . I REMIND MYSELF EVERYDAY HOW FORTUNATE I AM AND AS I LOOK INTO MY DAUGHTERS EYES I WOULD BE CRUSHED IF I EVER LOST HER.SHE WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD WHEN THAT TRAGIC DAY HAPPENED . I REMEMBER COMING HOME FROM MY MOMS HOUSE FEELING VERY LOST AND SCARED .. HOW CAN SOMEBODY BE SO SELFISH AND HURT OTHERS ..... WE AS AMERICANS WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN OUR HEART FOR ALL THE LIVES THAT WERE LOST THAT TRAGIC DAY !!! AND WE SHALL NEVER FORGET ...........CHUCK

Amen Aury! I feel the same way! I think ICED EARTH did a stunning tribute when Tim "RIPPER" Owens was singing with them in the song "WHEN THE EAGLE CRIES", to this day it is hard for me to watch. But it is on my page.
I hope everyone feels the way you do, and WE ALL, CAN "NEVER" FORGET!!!

Aury,

What a strong blog! As a New Yorker, I feel what you convey. My dad works in the Village, and saw the towers crumble from his office window. He could not watch the news footage for months.

I remember every year, and it is gratifying to know other people do, too. I say a prayer for all those people and their families.

That was so beautiful, Aury. And it touched me deeply. Today is just another day to those who forget what happened 7 years ago. To ppl like us, it is a sad anniversary. One that no one really wants to think about, but will always remember.

God Bless America...and, you, Aury.

For this sentiment and so much for...I Love Ya...

I AGREE WITH YOU SO MUCH AURY, EVERY YEAR THEIR ARE FEWER FLOWERS AND FEWER FLAGS HANGING WHY DOES OUR COUNTRY FORGET THE ONE TIME SINCE I HAVE BEEN ALIVE A DAY THAT WAS THE MOST HURTFUL AND HORRIFIC DAY OUR GENERATION WILL EVER GO THROUGH, I AM FORTUNATE THAT MY HUSBAND IS AS PATRIOTIC AS I AM AND ALWAYS KEEPS OUT FLAG OUTSIDE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE HOW MUCH WE CARE ABOUT OUR HOME LAND. IT IS SAD HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW WE WERE ONE THROUGHOUT THAT TIME AFTER 911 HAPPENED IT'S AS THOUGH PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN. ANNA NICOLE SMITH WHO PASSED AWAY THIS PAST YEAR GOT MORE TELEVISION PLAY COVERAGE AND EVERY YEAR IT IS LESS AND LESS ON THE TELEVISION. IT IS SAD BECAUSE IF WE DO NOT STAND TOGETHER IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL WE REMEMBER AGAIN.

YOUR DEAR FRIEND,

CHRISTY ALLUMS
