Terms For Photo Usage + Photo Shoots
Photo Usage
Credit Process For Photos:
♦ LIA&AIL Photography logo is attached on as a signature tag on every picture. If for some reason later we come to an agreement to where there is no tag on a specific picture(s) [ex. For use in a magazine, presskit], you must ensure credit of ALL use of every tag-less photo with either "photography by myspace.com/lifeisartandartislife" or "photography by Life Is Art & Art Is Life Photography". Otherwise, tag must be left on no matter what.
♦ LIA&AIL Photography photos may be publically displayed, but you may NOT alter, transform, build upon, or use any of my work for commercial purposes.
♦ Failing to abide by these terms will result in a breach of my copyrights by http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/us/
Photo Shoots
What You SHOULD Bring On A Shoot:
♦ Do remember to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and to stay focused.
♦ Bring yourself, dressed to impress. That doesn't mean be fancy-it just means dress how you want others to perceive you
What NOT To Bring On A Shoot:
♦ Do not bring a bad attitude. The worst thing you can do is come with an "I know everything" attitude.
♦ Do not use or bring alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes on or before shoots. It just makes for an unsafe and unprofessional environment for you and me.
♦ Do not try anything funny. I always inform several people I'm going for a shoot and take at least 1 person with me to check things out, so if you're planning on doing anything stupid, you will be caught. Plus, if you think you can take me, good luck-I practice several different fighting techniques daily. No joke.
During The Shoot:
♦ If you feel uncomfortable or need a break during the shoot, just tell me.
♦ There is almost no limit to how many pictures will be taken as I see fit to get the best photos, but remember that I will only be editing and sending the very best ones (that we both choose).
♦ Talking during the shoot is just fine! And if music helps you feel the vibe better, then bring it because it helps me, too. :)
Sending Process For Photos:
♦ The best photos I see from the photo session will be sent as thumbnails to you, and then from those, you decide which ones (please keep the amount very reasonable-no more than 20) I will edit and resend a much bigger size.
♦ Standard photo size I send is 800x600. If you want bigger than that, you must inform me before the shoot.
♦ If you need help putting the photos on your space or resizing them smaller, don't be afraid to ask me.
Payment For Photos:
♦ Only cash or PayPal is accepted. (For PayPal details, contact me)
♦ You may make your payment before or after the shoot.
♦ As long as pictures were taken of you by me, no payment refusal will be tolerated.
Payment Policies:
♦ No refunds; only exclusion being that you paid prior to the scheduled shoot and it gets cancelled ahead of time.
♦ Please remember that promos do NOT include live shots. Pictures with instruments are fine, but if you plug them in, I have to charge for live, too.
♦ Once I've sent you the photos we've agreed upon, that's it. If you decide you need more after that, then I must charge you $5 per resent photo and you must wait until my schedule is free. (For bigger size need for publishing, etc., please contact me and we will work that out according to http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/us/).
♦ Paying for the taking, editing, and sending of photos is NOT the same as buying a copyright or buying permission to use them for any commercial purposes. You may NOT alter, transform, build upon, or use any of my work for commercial purposes unless we have come to an agreement about it by http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/us/. You must contact me for set agreement.
Failing to abide by these terms will result in as breach of our written agreement by http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/us/ .
* Terms subject to change without notice
It is recommended that you read the other blogs on the LIA&AIL Photography MySpace page, as they are informative of other details, such as rates and frequently asked questions.
So now that you've read these helpful terms, this will make a huge difference in how our photo session will go.
If you have any questions, just send me a message.
Thanks, and I look forward to working with you! :)
