1) Why did you start Life Is Art & Art Is Life Photography?
I've been thinking of starting this since the summer of '07. It's then that I realized photography was getting so deep inside my heart that I couldn't ignore it anymore...and my other works of art shouldn't be kept from public view. But starting a company didn't seem possible at that time. I was missing things. After tons of research and investments, I found what I was looking for, and here you are. This is heartwork at its best.

2) What's with that logo/slogan?
That's my logo for my photography company, of course! The saying "Life Is Art & Art Is Life" is something I realized back in February of '06, I believe. I wrote it down on a sticky note and never forgot it. The little red and black symbol in the center of the camera lens is my personal logo. It is a drawing of my initials. I drew that back in '05 and I felt immediately that it should forever represent me. The camera is actually a picture of my real camera that I cartoon-ed up.

The slogan "Not Just Another Girl With A Camera" is something I decided I want to be in January '08. Finally, I came up with the concept for the Life Is Art & Art Is Life Photography logo back in December of '07, and created the finished product in January '08.

If you see anybody stealing any of these slogans and/or logos, let 'em know it's my copyrighted work!

3) Why should I choose Life Is Art & Art Is Life Photography?
"One great picture can change the world."

Many people get their first impression from your pictures-whether they be live, promo, etc. If you want to appear professional and amazing, you've got to find someone who can take professional and amazing pictures.

I've checked out tens of thousands of bands here on Myspace. Every time I hear of one, I check out their pictures. I've seen what type of pictures other photographers take. Many have an arrogant attitude in person. Many just stand and push the shutter button. Many consistently use the flash, drowning out all the color. Many are girls just trying to flirt with certain band members. Many think it's their camera that knows how to take a good pic. Many are ripping people off with their prices. I aim to be different. No wasting people's time and money. For me, it's 100% or go home.

4) Do you take photos of things besides bands?
Yes! I'd be willing to take photos of just about anything/anyone.
Don't be afraid! :)

5) How much do you charge?

Make sure you read the Rates blog after this!

6) When and where are you available?
I'm available Monday-Friday, from 6pm-12am and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12pm-12am in the San Diego.... area. If your event falls a little before or after the specified times, please contact me ahead of time so we can see if it can be worked out.

7) Who are you?/What inspires you?
My name is Tiffany, I'm 21, I thrive on traveling and great live shows, and I'm a self-described "all-around" artist. I love doing almost any type of art (I started out as a cartoonist), and right now, my focus is photography. I'm not about who I've shot, but how. I'm inspired by the world around me, the events that surround me, and random people who've found me.

8) How long does it take to send the photos?
My goal is to get them to you within one week's time. Depending on how many shows I go to in a week, what you need done (promos can take a bit longer sometimes), and of course, my own health, it can take longer, but usually, you're looking at a week or less deadline.

9) How long have you been a photographer?
It's been over 3.5 years now, professionally.

10) What kind of experience do you have?/Where else can I see your work?
I wouldn't doubt some of you've seen me taking pictures at Rock Forever Entertainment shows before. I've been their photographer for 3 years. In that same amount of time, I've also taken photos for several different bands, websites, and various events. I practice photography and the obstacles surrounding its particular events just about every day. I've loved taking pictures ever since I got my first disposable camera.

There are many places you can see my work. Last I checked, my work has been used well over thousands of times by various people/companies/bands/websites, etc.

11) What kind of person are you to work with?
Well, I'd say I'm a nice, friendly, honest person. I mean that.

I understand very thoroughly how gigs work-from planning an entire event from scratch to setting up the show itself. Before an event, I generally like to meet people and have a small chat, check things out, and then if I can, "hide out" and stay focused-similar to how many bands would prepare, I suppose.

For promos, I like to chat it up so things flow better..I don't want to be so serious and uptight. Nothing traditional, nothing trendy, and nothing fake-I die to shoot your real emotions.

12) How can I help you out?/Get in your top friends?
If you'd like to help me out, you can do so by: telling your friends about me, send me signs I can put up (that would be amazing actually), hiring me, recommending me to your friends/fave bands, donating to keep this art going, buying yourself a nice print of your choice from my page, repping some of my photos on your page with a link back to "myspace.com/lifeisartandartislife" (also amazing), putting me in your top friends, putting a banner on your page, posting bulletins, etc.

It's all really, really, appreciated! :)

If you rep one of my banners on your page or put me in your top friends, let me know, and I will return the favor in the form of a top spot! :)

P.S. I always check out updates from my top friends. ;)

13) What type of photos do you like to take?/What's your style?

I like taking pictures of anything interesting, really. Everything is beautiful if you want it to be. I'd describe my style as "trying to capture the light in a world of darkness, while still preserving my inner child's free spirit."

14) What kind of equipment do you use?
This is a question that always bugs me. I feel that equipment doesn't matter in any field of work. Growing up, I always had to deal with other people having better everything than me. I learned to be 50x times better than those people at their own game. Equipment doesn't matter. What matters is you. Your passion. My passion is unstoppable.

15) Can you give me some advice?
About what? I hope you mean something in the art field, 'cause then your answer's yes. If you want dating advice, I'm not who you're looking for. Seriously though..my advice is simply stay true to yourself, try new things and old things in new ways, and feel the moment, not just capture it. Make the boring, interesting.

16) Do you Photoshop your photos?
Actually, I'm not a big believer in Photoshop. You don't need editing software to create false beauty. But don't get me wrong-I do indeed own, appreciate, and regularly use Photoshop. I use it when I feel it necessary-usually for flyers, logos, special effects, etc. It's simply that I prefer to take a picture that doesn't require hefty editing. The real-er, the better.

17) What kind of music do you like?
I seriously like tons of different music. Currently, my main style is rock. But even if the music isn't really my style, if a band/singer can wow me with their live show, I'll completely love them.

18) Why haven't you approved my friend request yet?!/Do you send requests to random people?
I'm trying to approve you right now!! Usually I get too many requests to approve in 1 day (not to mention messages and comments), so it takes me a while...but don't worry-you WILL be approved eventually!

No way, I'd never do that! I only send requests once in a while and only to people who are performing near me. Overall, I mostly just get a lot of requests. Ha..not complaining! Oh, and by the way, I don't leave copy-paste comments for real people.

19) Do you do anything else?
Why, yes I do! You can check out some of my semi-professional videography at the Life Is Art & Art Is Life Photography Youtube Channel, which you can check out at youtube.com/thofficial. I use to review CDs for One Stop Band Shop at myspace.com/onestopbandshop, but they're on a hiatus, so that's that for now, unfortunately. I've helped make Myspace pages, banners, and flyers for a few bands and companies. Animation is another love of mine-whether it be through pictures or drawings. Speaking of drawing, I've been doing that since birth. My first true love. :)  Sometimes I create art out of random materials like aluminium foil (even balloon animals!). I also write songs and play guitar...but for now, I keep that to myself. If you're interested in me doing any of these things for you, send me a message!

20) Do you have a personal page?/Self-Portraits?

Yes, just check my top friends-I'm the first one. Feel free to add me.
