I began writing a song, I felt undescribably moved that day. I saw a mixture of sorrow anguish and a woman's pain love and affection for her children, who face the prospect of a world full of danger and terror. For a mother to face bringing up her children in an environment so close to hell, is any mothers worst nightmare. To her , her children are precious and sacred. This is what I saw in her eyes. I was captivated by her love and protectiveness. And the words to the song were inspired by Jumoke's motherhood.
Looks like a long way down
I see a woman on the ground
see her child running around
holding some hope in her hand
but she
shes crying
don't see
me cryin
Chorus
I, I'm captivated
I, I'm illuminated
by the beauty I see
Verse 2
from a distance I stand
I see a far away land
oceans all around
but rainbows
turn waters to land
but she,
shes learning to fly
but time,
is passing her by
Chorus
I, I'm captivated
I, I'm illuminated
by the beauty I see
Bridge
feeling like a child,
innocent and free
but she,
shes waiting
for something real
shes waiting, for life
to breathe love
