Yesterday afternoon, I went to the dentist. My teeth are fine, my gums are very healthy, my x-rays were great. The dentist basically said not to change a thing. He did suggest picking up a SoniCare toothbrush to help the problem areas where my enamel is weaker, and since Target has them on sale until next month that means I'll pick one up with the groceries this weekend.
So I was already in a good mood on the way home. I had the windows down, an MP3 CD packed to the gills with anime songs in the stereo. As I got closer to home, I could see storms in the distance, and the air got colder. It felt fantastic, though, and once traffic cleared up and I could go a decent speed,
this song popped up. Perfect timing.
I felt a wave of euphoria wash over me. Not a giddy high, but a feeling of absolute contentment. I haven't felt that in ages. Oddly enough, I've been feeling happier and more energetic now that I'm weaning myself off of Effexor. Yes, the Effexor helped me get over a hill, but I'm very glad to be getting rid of it soon.
If only every day could feel like that.
