Alright, I'm making a tour blog. And it goes a little something like this:
We'll start from the beginning... June 12th, 5 am, Jilly's house, Owings Mills. Myself, Chad, Phil and my main squeeze Jill wake up, freshen up, and get ready to embark on what has the potential to be a pretty damn fantastic voyage. Destination: The wild and untamed Pacific Northwest.
A pretty uneventful few hours took place between the time we left Jilly's until the time we boarded. Phil and I reveled in some always delicious Auntie Anne's pretzles, which makes me rethink my previous claim that the airport was uneventful. We also stood in a very, very long line. Wild stuff.
US Airways Flight 80 took the aviation virginity of both Chad and Phil, and like most virginity takings it was awkward and confusing, yet incredibly satisfying. I discovered that domestic flights no longer serve meals, or even snacks, and that ipod headphones don't work in airplane headphone jacks. Although bummed that I could only watch a muted "Fools Gold", starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson in a twisted and delightful romanitc comedy about what I could only assume is treasue hunting and rekindling the flames of lost love. Anyway, Phil got a little queasy on the landing and Chad made a new friend, as is to be expected.
Our next flight was boarding as we got off our first plane, and at this point we were in Las Vegas, which seen from the windows of the airport seems like a dirty cartoon of a real city. Phil rushed off to find nourishment, as his earlier pretzle breakfast had apparently digested and left his sensitive stomach vacant and yearning. Finding only an overpriced bag of peanuts, Phil met back up with Chad and I and we boarded the plane. I ended up a few rows ahead of Chad and Phil and passed the time listening to Battery and watching the Travel Channel. The flight was short and uneventful until just after a shakey landing. As we crossed the tarmac and prepared to leave the plane, the aroma of peanuts filled the cabin...
Apparently the jarring touchdown was a bit to much for young Phillip, and as much as he tried he was unable to hold down his peanut lunch. Reaching the point of no return, Phil quickly reached for the closest vomit receptical he could, his complimentary US Airways pillow case. The sheer volume of his vomit was too much for the pillow case to contain, and ignorant to the availability of bags made specifically for puking in, Phil finished off his regurgitation on the floor, aisle and his Revelation Records long sleeve.
"Handsome" Beej picked us up from the airport. We got vegan donuts and lunch. Phil fell asleep and wasn't heard from again until the next morning. Beej, Chad and I walked around for awhile, met the rest of the Dangler crew and hit up a Sex Vid show at some house somewhere in Seattle. Punx were in full effect.
June 13th, 11am, The Dangler, Seattle. Watching Floorpunch videos, waiting for Mike, Chris and Aram to arrive, listening to Phil and Chad be Phil and Chad.
