So it's come to this! We knew that eventually our beloved drummer and dear friend Keegan Curry was going to have to depart us for the greener, sunnier, and better film-school-having Austin, Texas. Keegan has been an invaluable member of Airwave Bandits from the earliest days and a fantastic friend. Providing the our rock-solid rhythmic base, a wonderfully levelheaded and delightfully quirky attitude, a dedicated approach to music and an amazing aptitude at every instument he touched, Keegan was truly an incredible person to make music with. It was not uncommon for Airwave to drive to a show with the radio blasting in Keegan's beloved station wagon Stevie Nix (immortalized on our T-Shirts and album cover) with Keegan at the wheel, the poor car stuffed to bursting with gear. So integral was Keegan's contribution to the band that we knew there was no way we could continue as Airwave Bandits without him, it just couldn't be the same. So it's with a heavy heart that we retire the name and most of the repertoire of Airwave Bandits. Zach and Tim will continue to make music together here in the Twin Cities, you can look forward to hearing a whole awesome new set of songs from us in a few months (maybe with a few Airwave songs thrown in). But the time has come to end Airwave Bandits as a band. At the risk of sounding really cheesy, we'll always remember all of the amazing times we had with all of you, our fans and friends and supporters. From our shows at The Depot in Hopkins, to our big breaks at the Triple Rock, and especially to the shows in basements, backyards, coffee shops, and living rooms. We'd like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who's ever supported us, even if that just means showing up to one of our shows. To our long time fans, we love you so much! Thanks for being amazingly supportive, and helping three kids truly achieve their dreams of playing rock'n'roll. We couldn't have done it without you. We wish keegan the best of luck at the University of Texas, and we truly hope he'll be able to make it up here for at least one reunion show!
