I wanted to let you know of a few events coming up over the next two weeks that are somehow connected to some cool events. This spring/early summer marks 3 years of "officially" living in San Francisco and we're coming up on 6 altogether in the Bay Area. Fun times, huh?

Anyways, this Saturday my friends Chris and Brian and Josh are throwing a fundraiser for their AIDS Lifecycle Biking Trip. It's from noon until 5 pm on Saturday the 26th, at The House of Muse - 560 Noe Street between 18th and 19th. It should be a fun party, not just because it all goes to their skinny asses on bikes, but also because the 26th just happens to be my actual birthday!

Sunday the 27th I'm performing at some tennis team's benefit with Miss Trannyshack 2006 Raya Light at club ei8ht (on Folsom in between 7th and 8th), I think that's around 9 pm. After that, we're crossing the street to Club Gossip at the Cat Club (8th and Folsom) where at midnight Trannyshack goes against Club Gossip in a weirdly 80s show. The best part is that somehow I'm entering the "Go-Gos Lip Sync Contest" judged by two of the Go-Gos themselves. Apparently one of them lives in Bernal. Duh.

But the most fun part is that next Tuesday, the 29th, I will be having my birthday party at Trannyshack, making my co-hostessing debut! The theme, of course, is inspired by my hometown Seattle - Grunge Night! I have been wanting to see drag queens do Pearl Jam, Soundgarden en masse, and it just so happens that we can add to the angst some of the fiercest female rock around - Babes in Toyland, Hole, L7 and more! Some of my very favorite performers - Metal Patricia, Raya Light, Monistat, and Cookie Dough - will join Heklina and others in this absurd, absurd night. House of Herrera has done a fantastic dress for me, and that alone is worth it. So COME TO TRANNYSHACK TUESDAY MAY 29th TO WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Show is at midnight @ the Stud (9th and Harrison).

Saturday June 2nd I will be performing at DJ Dirty Knees' hot rock fag club, Trans Am. Love Like Fire will be performing a live set and Blossom and I will be doing some sort of rock numbers. Metal P is the guest DJ. It's the afterparty for the fantastic artist Jonathan Solo's exhibition, and we'll be probably enjoying ourselves too much. It's at the Space Gallery (across from Vertigo on Polk Street @ Sutter), so be there - the last time I went I blacked out = tons of fun!

Finally, to cap it off, we have my sexy sexy friend Carlotta Valdez and I re-enacting our crazy ass mashup number from March's Bootie at Trannyshack on June 5th! Adrian Roberts of A+D is hosting another Smashed and Trashed night of mashups, and we'll be breaking up to the Gossip vs. Elastica yet again. So hot, I tell you.

Also, look for me at Patti Smith night at the Cinch - the best drag show in SF says the SF Weekly - on June 8th. Jeez, this is busy busy busy, huh?

Anyways, yeah. I have a birthday. Lots of stuff going on. Come join if you can!
