Hello folks and thank you for dropping by. Sorry about the length of my absence but I’ve been yachting off the coast of Somalia and been involved in the most wonderful bout of adventures with a gang of swarthy old pirates. They even let me fire their missile launcher at a passing French navy ship!!! Anyhow, this yellow land lubber is moored up now and glad to be back amongst pylons and motorway cones.
And just in the nick of time too! For in less than a week we record again!! Rob has been down for a butcher‘s, the four songs have been mercilessly selected and all the creases have been painstakingly ironed out. We just need to agree on a tempo for each track and we’re ready to hit Whitewood studios! In case you’re wondering which four songs we have opted for then I’ll give you a little sneak preview - we’re going for two reworked oldies ‘Pylon’ and ‘Miracle of Life’ and two brand new tracks ‘Alien Rock n’ roll’ and ‘That doesn’t sound like me’. I won’t go into detail about how they sound or what they’re about - you’ll have to wait.
We’ve all had a listen to the previous six songs that we recorded and I can’t wait to start showing them to people, but again, patience is the key, we don’t want to ruin it by playing songs in dribs and drabs when the whole album should be recorded and mixed by the New Year!!
A lot of people have been asking when we are going to start playing live again and believe me I am much, much more impatient than you lot! However, we are not even considering it until this collection of songs is out of the way and a few other secret internal matters have been competed - but trust us, it will be worth the wait. Things are gonna be different this time around!!
Anyway, I’m off now to try and figure out Rob’s favourite cologne xxx
