What up everybody! I took a bunch of pictures from my job. Some of Ya'll might know I work in a recycling plant. I drive a skid steer and a forklift. Its a tough and dirty job but on the good days it feels rewarding.

This is the front of the bailer where the bails come out and get picked up with the forklift

This is the conveyor belt where the material goes up into the bailer

This is the control panel for the bailer. The door on the left opens into the chute that the material to be bailed falls into.

Don't get into the bailer without shutting the power off, it could be hazardous to your health

This is the inside of the bailer where the ram makes the bails. The metal on the left with the slots in it is actually the ram. Its a huge block with a hydraulic piston pushing it. Now imagine being in their cleaning plastic out of the ram. Your crouched down inside and your boss comes along and slams the door shut. He did it to me one day just to fuck with me. Seriously, I jumped up as fast as could be and screamed like a little girl, "HEY I"M IN HERE, WHAT THE FUCK, HEY!" All in all it was pretty funny.

Well I've got more photos but photobucket isn't working right at the moment so I'll just put the rest up tomorow night.

It kind of bugs me where I just moved here to VA. & you have to pay the recycling plants to take your stuff. As opposed to where I used to live in ME where a truck comes along to take your recyclables just like the garbage truck every week.
