Athens, my goodness. You are a beautiful city. Joe and Pat are going to look at apartments/houses this summer. Gorgeous. Eli from The Jumpin' Jesus Christers (who were awesome) was nice enough to house us and feed us biscuits and deer sausage gravy in the morning. Delicious. Made the treacherous drive to Florida. Wind warning was in effect. Handling a van in 40mph winds on the interstate is fuckin' crazy. But we drive on and get there, only to be greeted to, "Hey - so we didn't hear about this show until 2 days ago, so I don't think we're gonna be able to have you play tonight, but you're welcome to hang out." Uh oh - there's even another band coming. We thankfully are able to sort things out and the show goes on. Awesome house show - nice n' sweaty and packed in. We love those. I turned it in early in preparation for the 9 hour drive to NC today, but the other guys had a blast - especially Joe and Pat ;) Many thanks to House Of Diamonds for letting us play, and to Sister who was totally fucking awesome. Today is the big 9 hour drive to NC, which we're almost through. Stopped at the beach before we left for a far too short lived amount of time and it was absolutely awesome. Just gorgeous. We also stopped at the infamous South Of The Border. My first time - total dump, but we got some roman candles. Killer. We're playing some dive country bar tonight and we gotta play for 2 hours. Booking guy said the clientel like Hank Williams covers. Awesome. We're also camping (provided its not just a parking lot this time) tonight - supposed to be quite nippy tonight so wish us luck.
