I thought it might be time for a little update to let you all know what is and has been going on with the band. They had a bit of a break starting early October as they had been playing so much during the year, all around Scotland, and it was just time to take a bit time off from gigging and concentrate on writing a bit more.
The band played their first gig for three months at the Box in Glasgow then a few days later at Cape in Stirling. The sets went down well and overall the crowds were good and last night, on 99.8FM in Aberdeen, Matthew played a live acoustic set and then was interviewed by June. Hopefully we can get some of the interview and tracks back for you all to hear.
Coming up in the next few weeks (2nd January) we're playing our first gig in Dundee in almost four months at the Dexter's with all our friends playing and its going to be a massive night so come down for it. After that, the very next day we are off to Glenrothes, then on the 9th we're at Mad Hatters in Inverness for the first time ever and after that on the 24th we are up in Aberdeen for a Red Stripe event at Moshulu which could lead us to playing a festival down in England. If you want to come with us get in touch and we can sort something out. After that we are playing Dundee again with the Hazy Janes at Fat Sams and Revolver at Dexter's - all dates are on our MySpace page.
We are going to plan a lot for this year and no doubt we will be playing and recording more than ever but just want to say a thanks to anyone who came to a show, spoke to us and most of all anyone who listened to the music. 2008 was a great year for us; we played King Tuts, Road to Rockness, Go North and we played with our friends more than ever. We're going to carry it on to 2009 so keep listening as we will be announcing more things very shortly.
