We are all devastated by the loss of our dear friend and bandmate Dave Fuentes. We are extremely honored to have played with Dave during his last days. Dave was a big influence on every one of us for years, and for him to join us onstage and call himself an Aggrolite meant the world to us. No one will ever be able to play bass like Dave, it came so easy to him and his technique is untouchable. Dave will definately go down in history as the greatest ska bass player of our generation. Onstage he was a star and you couldn't take your eyes off of him, but once he came down off the stage, he was a regualr guy just smiling and having a good time. Dave was so friendly that everywhere we went, he was talking to people- whether it was fans at a show, or the employee at a gas station. He was truley an inspiration both musically and in life. We all had a nickname for him - "Wisdom Dave" because he was always full of insight and helpful advice. He set an example as a man, as a friend, a husband and as a father. He never had anything bad to say about anyone. Every night on tour at 8:00, we would be able to spot Dave somewhere in the corner of a venue, or in the dressing room on the phone saying goodnight to his children and his wife. We couldn't drive by a shopping center without Dave stopping to look for gifts for his wife and children. Our hearts go out to his wife and children as well as the rest of his family, and to our brothers in Hepcat. Dave is loved and cherished by so many people... we miss you already Dave. 'Till we meet again "Aggro-Cat." Rest in peace.

Absolutely stunned to hear this...honestly being from Rochester, NY where theres virtually no punk/ska/reggae scene, I didnt get to know all the great music on the west coast til the last couple years...absolutely love u guys and as an aspiring bass player, I had begun to try and emulate the <myspace>style</myspace> of Dave Fuentes. I couldnt believe it when I read this ...my condolences go to not only the bad but especially his wife and kids. Hang in there fellas.

Oh My God, my prayers are with you guys. Never thought in a million years that i would be reading that One of my favorite bands so close to home, and so much a part of my life would be losing someone so dear and close to their fans. Still Numb... even at the signing at the Sunset Junction Dave had his lil boy on his lap, making all the time in the world for his family. Peace and Love Dave, Hope you're rocking out where ever you are.

I can't beleive it ! You guys were just here and played one of the raddest shows The Gorge Hall ever had...I'm very saddened by the loss of David...I wish you and his family the most heartfelt thanks to have allowed me to meet him, watch him play (in awe), and hoist a few pints with him at the after party. I'm dedicating my entire Ska Radio show on Cortes Community Radio to David Fuentes. He was one of the good ones! Much love !!

Unfortunately I have not been around and just found out this devastating news today. Needless to say I am beside myself, Dave will be missed by so many people that loved him so dearly, including me. I am so proud to be able to have known him and be a part of his life. He influenced me so much musically, it's too bad we never got around to those free bass lessons I was promised. R.I.P friend.
