Days To Come has won the Giles Peterson Worldwide award for Album of the year!

Massive thanks to everyone who voted for the record. I genuinely didn't see this coming. The ceremony/knees up happened on sat in London. What a good night.
Some great performances and Dj sets (Mark Mac smashed it) We put on a short acoustic set too. Big up to Andreya Triana for stepping up at the last minute to sing two of the tunes from the album.

Bonobo ~ Days To Come
~~ Subime Sounds Music Reviews & Recommendations ~~

The third studio album from producer/musician Simon Green see's Bonobo's sound evolving deeper into the realms of jazz. Throughout the album light hip hop and bossa influenced beats, jazzy rhythms, subtle flowing atmospheric's and finely crafted instrumentals provide a beautifully deep and warm sound that purveys spaciously light and positive vibes throughout. Days to Come is an ultra chilled jazzy influenced downbeat and R&B crossover which owes much to the deep warming bass, flowing saxophone solo's and the stylish vocals from Bajka Pluwatsch which have great lyrical flow and adds another great element to Bonobo's sound. Nightlife's a gorgeous track where the gentle paced lightly funky percussion, jazzy basslines, dreamy vocals and subtle ambiences create a really fresh uplifting sound that's well complimented by some beautifully passionate violin typical of Mike Simmons and rich cello from Simon James. Between The Lines adds good contrast to the other tracks on the album with its heavy offbeat drums, mystical flute, funky guitars, saxophone and raspy double bass which creates a deep dark and otherworldly tribal vibe. Sitting just like a jazzed out Tom Waits and Eryka Badu crossover. Days To Come is highly recommended to anyone into the nu jazz and downtempo scene and especially to fans of the Cinematic Orchestra.

Looking forward to the gig down here in Cornwall.
Nice to see we're not always forgotten! : )
