Current mood:  stressed
... otherwise known as the seventh circle of Purgatory

This is the part where I swear a lot.  As Priss said on my comments, I have been burning the midnight oil ... to the point where I have very little oil left.  ||pant, pant||  I don't know how many more sleepless nights I can take.  I'm so sleep-deprived it's ridiculous.  (And, no, I did not write sleep-"deprAved", for all you jokers in the peanut gallery!).

Today I'm determined to climb up (or is it down? -- been a looooong time since I've read Dante) to the next circle of Purgatory.  I don't care that my St. Bernard is sick (well, of course I do, and I'm taking care of her in between writing), I don't care if I do have a huge backload of documentaries that I could be watching instead, I don't even care that my back went out -- I'm sitting in this chair until midnight or until the rough draft of this synopsis gets done.  Period.  Did you hear that, Gods Who Like To Thwart?

The rough draft of this synopsis is Getting Done TODAY!

At the risk of revealing more trade secrets, don't believe everything you hear:

Writing a synopsis is much harder than writing the whole damn book.  I know, I've done it, oh, around 18 times.  I also know several authors who would agree.

Okay, let's sync watches.  It's about 12:30pm my time.  That gives me a almost 12 hours (the glass is half full!) to get this baby done.  At least the rough draft of it, and that's all I'm aiming for.  (Once I have a rough draft of The Synopsis From Hell, I'll have something to edit and cut and polish as necessary, but until then.....)

No, I can't think of any of that right now.  Right now, I have a synopsis to write.  I have to concentrate.  Hard.  And write.  A lot.  And do it I will, mark my words.  ||shaking fist at sky||

I'd ask for wishes of good luck, but luck, good or otherwise, has nothing to do with writing The Synopsis From Hell.  What's needed is brick-solid determination.  (Check!  I've got it!)

||Rolling up sleeves, ready to climb to circle 8||

I'm off.  No time for a fancy tag line today...if you're reading this, you know who I am.  :)
