my attempt to get a gig in stalybridge (purely because a band called 'isis' were playing and i wanted to be able to say i'd supported isis before, ho ho) seem to have failed. bugger. at least i don't have to go to stalybridge now.

i've almost finished writing my new song. it's about why people should go on holiday in britain instead of jetting off to fancy foreign places. rather hypocritically, i'm booking my fuck buttons holiday on monday probably. nowhere in the uk has manatees! there's the band manatees though, they're pretty good. anyway, expect the new song to be recorded sometime next week as i'm in london this weekend.

i'm going to see the crown on the rats orchestra tonight in aldershot, which should be ace. i think mcwatt are playing too. and then on saturday it's zonino 3! bamos' birthday party at the windmill in brixton with napoleon iiird, telegraphs and chris chinchilla (him what used to be in art brut) as well as dj-ing from the birthday boy himself. hurray!

i'm getting used to being up and about at silly times of the day. i quite like it.
