This weekend I'm playing two shows in a row. Saturday is the Self-Titled reunion show at the MHR Carnival (as always). It's free, we play at like 6:30, and it's actually going to be the original members...Me, Will, Matt, and Scott. Then Sunday I'm playing with Broken Self at the Pegasus Lounge, which is always fun. Plus we have a new bassist and he's crazy. You should come to one or both shows. It'll be amazing, I promise. =)

So I went camping last weekend with Bonnie and her family, that was fun. Last year I was sick and it rained and the tent flooded, so needless to say this year was better. Next year I'm hoping we'll pick a different campsite though. There are just way too many people riding ATV's around at this one. For being called "Peace River," it's not very "peaceful". lol.

Back to music, I've been getting into the whole mixing and editing process myself lately. Will still has all the old .wav files from the old Self-Titled cd and I've been remixing songs using the software he has. They're sounding pretty good I believe. I'm figuring out how to program drum loops and stuff too and integrate that into the songs.  

After that's done I want to get back to writing and finish up another couple of songs and try recording them myself. I'm pretty confident I can get a fairly professional sounding mix, at which point we can always send them off to get them actually professionally mastered. That's my plan. If they don't come out sounding as good as I'm hoping they will, that's ok. With luck we'll get signed to a label at some point and have the financial backing to rerecord all of those songs anyway, in which we would want the new versions to sound better than the old versions. So it all works out in the end.
