Hey, MySpacers. This is Myk getting his blog on. As you may or may not be aware, Dave and myself are part of a folk band called Waterhens along with our friend Elliot (formerly of Wizie) backing up our friend Quintin, who writes and sings the songs. Fifteen or so of these songs have been collected on an album called Ridgeland. We started arranging the album back in late 2006, started recording it in early 2007, sat on it for a year, did additional recording and changed some of what we already had in 2008, mastered and remastered it, and finally got it pressed earlier this month. Whew! Well, the album is going to be available for the first time at the album release show on Friday, September 4th at the Trap Door Theatre located at 1655 W Cortland St. It starts at 8:00 with Rock Falls and Mark from Gaberdine opening.
