There are commercials for Tecate Light on the radio...the guys speak with a kinda thick Spanish accent, or rather, with an Americanized idea of a Spanish accent.

It's funny...when I was a shorty, none of my self-respecting neighbors would've let anyone talk like that to them.  Now it's part of advertising.

What changed?  probably my neighbors are finally Americanized...they no longer have that accent, so now it's someone else's turn at being mocked.

And how'd the Tecate people get the idea for that accent in a commercial?  From a Tejano!!!  wow...we really are like a bucket of crabs, ain't we?
