As you may have heard, January 29th House of Rock will bring you T.S.O.L. and Black Presidents. We at House of Rock try to bring Corpus Christians as many touring acts as we can. And being local musicians we know it's hard to get on these shows.  We've been offered one local spot on this date and want to be as fair as we can with who plays that local spot. Here's how your band can open for T.S.O.L.:

We will host a series of 3 shows on the first 3 Mondays in January where we run a contest. We will pick 9 local bands to play at House of Rock on our small stage in some what of a battle of the bands format.  Each Monday, we will host 3 bands.  There will be no charge for anyone over 21 to attend these shows and a small cover $5 for minors.  Everyone who comes to the show would be given one chance to vote for their favorite band, the band with the most votes would end up being the support act for TSOL. Doors will open at 7pm with the show starting at 7:30pm.

To book your band in this contest please send us a message with your bands name and myspace link. We will then get back to you with the Monday you will play. From there it is the band's responsibility to promote themselves and get their friends to come out and vote for them. We will not promote these shows. This is how you get to be support for touring acts. All Mondays will be booked by the end of December.
