Current mood: anxious
So here it is, spring time again. Lots of stuff is happening for us, so for all the fan girls and stuff who are somehow already reading this as I (Matt) am typing, this is the preview of what's happening.
We're now working with legendary producer/syscrusher cofounder John Krohn. It kinda sucks that we kinda just left the Plurals, who were originally going do our recording, but with school and touring and everything they have to do its probably not such a bad thing for either of us. Anyway, John Krohn is rad. We're recording our first ep this spring break, entitled Engage! which wil be released on Good Time Gang and Bermuda Mohawk. Song titles include: Wild Zero Dark Times for Harold It Only Matters New Ska Song Friday The 13th Just Don't Skip a Beat Watch out, its bound to be spicy.
While we are recording this spring break, we will be celebrating our 2nd anneversery. Yay. We'll also be playing a lot of shows, including the show on April 8th with the River City Rebels. You will buy tickets. And if you'd like us to play at a house party or anything with strobe lights, hot girls, and varying flavors of laffy taffy, give us a message or something and we'll be glad to come play and then leave with all three.
Probably of all the deets we have to unvail, one of the most delish would be that Kyle has resigned from the band as of today. We respect his decision and have decided to continue as a four piece from here on out, so for all you assholes from school who want to play electric triangle for us, i'm afraid you've recieved the short straw this time.
This summer we'll play some shows, promoting Engage! for a bit. Then we'll be seniors in high school and with enough material for a full length, which is a concept album. Its not one that sucks though. If you like our song Cobras, then you'll at least like the first song off of the album. If you don't you probably don't even like Jason Alarm at all and you probably aren't reading this.
We plan to work with John Krohn again for said album, this time really as a produced, well made record. Then we'll get out of high school and tour wherever we have enough money to venture.
Then we'll go to college, tour some more, maybe make some more records and do some more tours. Then we'll break up for these primary reasons: Pat will fall in love with the singer of Flyleaf and leave the band, Kirk will die of starvation because he doesn't eat his food fast enough, I'll move to Sweeden and at that point Brandon will have dated virtually every girl in our fanbase, pissing every one of them off, cutting our profits in half, and we won't end up with enough money to continue anyway.
So thats whats going to happen, sorry if i spoiled it for you.
Your friend, Matt.
