Wizard Weekend at the Southern Connecticut Renaissance Faire is now over and it was truly a unique and fun experience. Like every event it had it's little glitches with a couple of last minute changes but necessity being the mother of invention I think it made the event even better. Everyone involved seemed to have a great time from performers to vendors to patrons I saw pretty much nothing but smiles all weekend.
Everybody involved did a great job but I want to do some special shout outs:
First to our own Sean Hack, we could not have done anywhere near as well without him, he was more than helpful and he actually seemed to enjoy having things thrown at him. I now designate him not only our Hagred but also one of our performers.
Tears of the Phoenix volunteered one of their beautiful friends and with the assistance of Hawthorn & Holly and Bella and le Strangers, Wizard Rock Belly Dancing was born. Thanks to all of you, consider yourself godparents.
Our purveyor of wands, Thelonious Hieronymous Erasmus Eostrebunni also filled up some time and gave many of our performers wands, giving many a smile.
Although this Faire will be continuing for one more week, We will be preparing for our Wizard Weekend at The New York Renaissance Faire (NYRF see our blog). I am going to do my best to make it even more fun then the one we just had. I want to thank everyone again involved in the production of our first Wizard Weekend for helping make it the success that it was. I also want to greatly thank everyone that stopped by to say hello and see what we were all about.
On a personal note I want every one to remember that we are doing this for The Volunteers for Literacy in America so please support your local chapter. Love, affection and friendship, Uncle Ben
