I have spent all of my life with the conflicting desires for freedom and security.  The way we have been taught is to trade our time (freedom) for money (security).  This has never resonated with me as I doubt that it has for many people. This causes people to live for the week-ends, vacations and retirement, putting their happiness on hold.

At the same time that we are celebrating our freedom many are out of work and feeling afraid…far from feeling free or secure.

We have learned that our security and freedom comes from our ability to get and hold a “good” job and our ability to buy things that will prove our success to ourselves and others.  Obviously, by observing the state of our economy and the unemployment rate this “security” isn’t secure at all.

We can do one of two things in this situation.  We can sit and wait for our government to fix things and hope we don’t lose more than we already have, or we can take this opportunity to bring our focus to the source of our True Security.

True Security is the security we find within ourselves. We may call this Infinite Intelligence, Source or God.  But, this isn’t the God of our religious dogma; it is our God of pure Love, Peace, Joy, Abundance and Wisdom.  When we bring our focus away from the outside world to within we find our infinite Source of well-being, Love, Abundance, Joy and Peace.  We will not find Peace watching the news; we will not find Peace or Abundance when we know anything or anyone else as our Source (i.e. job or government).

Because God resides in us, we are our Source of Abundance, Peace, Joy, Wisdom and Love.  When we know ourselves as our Source it does not matter what is occurring in the world around us. The world economy can be crumbling and we will have more than enough.  Not because we are lucky but because we have tapped into the Infinite Wisdom within that knows of ways that we may not consider. This is True Security.  True Security is the promise that no matter what is going on around us not only will we be OK but we will thrive. 

With God as our security there is nothing we “have” to do in order to be secure.  We were born into True Security.  So let the voice of God speak from your heart and allow your Self to be and do what makes your heart sing not what someone else tells you is responsible or practical.  With faith we can have Security and Freedom!

Note: if you are in a state of fear about money or security tap out the negative before tapping on these statements.

I am the Power and Presence of God.

My finances are God’s finances and God is Abundant therefore I am abundant.

God is infinite intelligence and I am the presence of God therefore I know what step to take next.

God is unchanging Joy, Abundance, Peace, and Love and I am the presence of God therefore I am Joy, Abundance, peace and Love.

My business is God’s business and God’s business always prospers.

My inner voice is the voice of God and I hear it clearly.  I always know what step to take.

When one door closes God opens a multitude of others.

Maybe I can be free and secure.

I give myself permission to be free and secure.
