Hey,

Exciting times. As you know, Mark Millar and John Romita Jr are doing a book at Icon Comics based on what I've been up to. It's called Kick-Ass and it's released on February 27th, btw.

Now two bands have come forward and offered to do a kind of soundtrack for the comic. I dunno if this has ever been done before, but it sounds very fucking awesome to me and I obviously gave my approval. The two main songs are available free for download (see below) and I like them a lot. The videos are cool too. Let me know what you think!!!!

As for me... Well, I've been busy doing my shit. There's been a few things happening lately I'm kind of scared about too. I got involved in some crap you don't want to know about and now some asshole is out there saying HE'S the big new hero. Well fuck him! More as it develops!

Yours 4 justice,
Kick-Ass!!!!!

PS Attention whotes Millar and Romita are doing some kind of wave of promotions this week. Keep checking back for updates. The countdown begins now!!!!!

It's been done before. I've got a Warrior Nun Azalea (sp?) that I bought specifically because I thought having a soundtrack was a kick-ass thing to have (did not realize that pun til after the typing was done, swear). There was a tpb I saw once I almost got because it came with a soundtrack (yet I did not get it because it was all rap and rap is not always good).

(Man, do I love parenthetical digressions!)

Not to mention my favorite use of a soundtrack, the inside cover of all nine La Cosa Nostroid issues (and maybe the comic it spun out of, Scud the Disposable Assassin, yet I am drunk and cannot remember). Lotsa thought went into that compilation, though, to be fair, it only barely fits into conversation here...Anyways, I love La Cosa Nostroid and mention it in hopes that you all do too.

What the hell are we talking about?

...

Oh, yeah, but people jumping on to do a soundtrack like this has not been done in quite this fashion so far as I know.

Anyways, read La Cosa Nostroid while you wait for the next awesome issue of Kick-Ass.

Anyone else read that CNN article about "The Reals?" The guys doing the very thing Kick-Ass is about? Interesting stuff.

I would love to contribute to that soundtrack. From one hero to another.
