In this announcement:

1. Update about papercut's situation
2. No zine check-outs past August 1
3. Return all zines you have out asap!
4. We need plastic boxes
5. Help us move on August 15
6. You can still get involved in the library!

1. Well, as many of you may have heard, the Papercut Zine Library has yet
to find a new home for our collection. We will be moving everything into
storage on August 15th, and will be temporarily closed until further
notice.

2. Starting August 1, you will not be able to check zines out of the
library. This is because any zines checked out after that point will be
due after we have packed up, and that would be difficult to coordinate.
We will still hold regular hours until the 15th, and you are more than
welcome to come in, browse, read, and enjoy our last days in our current
location.

3. For anyone who has zines out, late or otherwise, we STRONGLY encourage
you to return them before August 15th. This will make our lives a lot
easier.

4. We are greatly in need of plastic boxes/bins to store our zines. This
can either be the plastic storage bins with clip tops (think dorm room
style) or even plastic produce bins with the linking tops. Please let us
know if you have anything like this that you would be willing to donate to
papercut!

5. On August 15th, we will be doing the last packing, and then moving
everything into the basement of the Democracy Center for temporary
storage. If you want to help, we can use all the arms we can get! This
will begin at 10am.

6. Even though the library will not be physically open, the library
collective will continue to meet, plan, and strategize. If you are
interested in getting involved, we'd gladly welcome you! Although you
probably wouldn't be able to get librarian training until we re-open, we
love having new people with new ideas get involved.

Thanks for supporting Papercut through our transition period! As always,
if you have suggestions, ideas, leads about where we can move, let us
know!

Heard about your dilemma via Boing-Boing. A friend of mine that I asked said this, "how bout that empty gas station on the corner of harvard and western ave in Allston- place has been vacant for over 5 years..."
