Yes it is cheaper. More people should do it. Sometimes I think some people are just too lazy, they don't know the number of a cab company and they don't really want to take the time to find out one and they are drunk and just want to get wherever and off they go pathetically thinking "it can't happen to me.

Exactly. People think of it as an afterthought, when in reality it's something to prepare for in advance, not after you had a few drinks and then feel you're ok to drive.
