Jesus, i'm returning to you.

My contrite heart you have yet to deny.

Jesus, i want to find out who you really are.  Not who people have made you up to be today.  But who YOU say you really are.  You say that those who seek you with all of their being WILL find you.  I want my heart, my soul, my mind, ALL THAT I AM to find you.  I am desperate to find the truth of you. Jesus.  Not Christianity, but the man who was a revolutionary. Please don't let me down.

Healings happen, people are fed, homeless find shelter and heavy hearts cry and are held because you are real.

"Christianity is a 'see-for-yourself' type of experience."  We don't have to be preaching a three part sermon, or debating what "truth" is, or the grey or even black and white areas of the Bible and Christianity.  We don't have to prove you.  We are simply called to go, eat with, talk with, love with others, and present You.  Then walk away. You have to prove you, for the sake of who you are.  The pressure is not on us.  Please prove yourself real.

"We must remember that God's truth's are self-evident.  The pressure isnot on us as the messengers, if we will say and do the right things.  We do the right thing whenever we proclaim the gospel to others.  Jesus will draw their hearts to him.  We must let the evidence of Christ's reality speak for itself." - voice of the martyrs

last night at small group we watched the dvd "sunday" by rob bell, and it reminds me of what you are sharing in your blog...also reminds me of blue like jazz....this generation has a similar thread in our hearts in wanting to know Jesus, apart from rituals, and religion, etc...and the more i learn the more i realize just how personal being a christian is....there is no formula that works for everyone in knowing christ and bringing him glory...i think the "formula" is unique to each of us and changes as we grow....hmmm...love your heart dre!!
