I realized today how many lives I need to morph into one. Living at a New England boarding school, being a trad music playing, wannabe indie musician, after buying a house, getting an MA in some environmental thing, 2 kids (well, not AFTER--they're quite present) I am attempting to makes worlds converge. I should say that I've been trying to do this for years. When it comes down to it, you can take the boy out of suburbia, but you can't take suburbia out of the boy. Even in my underlying rebellion against the status quo, I am pursuing more education while financing a "safe" AWD station wagon for the family. And do I love it? Of course I do. Is there shame in loving the illusion of affluence? OK, so see the song below that I co wrote with Michelle Simpson-Siegel (relation? hmm).
