on June 6, police officer Todd Bahr of the Fredericksburg, VA(my dad's home town, and where he lives today) police department was killed in the line of duty. That struck me. But not nearly has hard as finding out (today) that he'd only been a police officer for a couple of years. Reading about what happened, and how it happened is just a shock to the system. It could happen to any police officer, at any time. The loss of Todd Bahr serves as a reminder to me to love my husband, and make sure he knows it every single day.
To the family of Todd Bahr, and his brothers and sisters in the Fredericksburg police department, my heart goes out to you. I know that no words can relieve the pain of his loss, but please just know that I, and many, many others like me have the utmost respect and THANKS for your sacrifices.
