Joe Shikany was an incredibly lovely man and a great bandmate.

Always on point musically, always the most relaxed, he was generous on stage and off. With the exception of my Altoids. Joe would bogart my Altoids. I let him because he and I shared a committment to fresh breath and because he was precious.

I am very proud to join a huge group of musical collaborators and friends who honor his life and recognize his passing as a terrific loss. As of now, I am in shock and quite numb. I know the Impalers gig on October 18th will be a great tribute and a grand ordeal.

If we are truly energy beings having a human experience he will be able to look on his time here as a wonderful ride with family and friends who loved him in earnest.

We will miss you.
