I realized today while sitting in Sunday school class how slow of a learner I am when it somes to certain lessons or truths.  We're doing a study through the book "The Pursuit of God" and I was reminded again of something the Lord has been showing me over and over for the past year.  God's been trying to teach me that the Christian Life is not about how many facts you can cram into your head, or being able to outline the book of Romans.  It's not about how eloquently you can communicate the gospel or even positional truth.  It's not even about ministry or missions. 

It is quite simply about walking with the Lord daily.  And it is this uncomplicated truth that I find myself realizing again and again.  God is continuing to teach me that He is not just a theological concept, a bedtime story or a pie in the sky idea.  He wants me to know and trust Him more and more.  Sure, He is my God and Savior, but He's also my heavenly Father and Friend and wants me to spend time getting to know Him. 

If you forget the relationship you end up with cold, empty theology.  Facts, and nothing more.
