Macho B , the oldest Jaguar known to exist on the planet was wrongly executed by the  Phoenix Arizona Zoo. The cat which  had been snared accidentally near the Arizona border, the northern tip of its range,  was studied and thought to have kidney failure.  After being exterminated it was found the cat was only dehydrated and was is in good health.  A sad day for the cat world.
