Big up to Random Thoughts Magazine for the love.

G & Luck-2 Man Tantrum

In the scope of Southern Hip Hop, South Carolina is the only state without a national state representative. With many racing for the top spot, Greenville's G & Luck take their shot of being that group with 2 Man Tantrum.

What makes this album stand out is the diversified production and G & Luck's ability to bring lyricism to the table w/ catchy choruses. While other groups seem to only have one or the other, this duo brought all their weapons to the table. From "Hata Fadaway" and "In My Zone" to "Hood Rock" and "I Made It" they cater to different audiences without sacrificing their artistic integrity. Songs like "P.O.W." and "I Made It" show a side not seen in this age of Hip Hop, honesty and sincerity. Speaking on everything from family issues to friends who passed away.

This album is impressive from front to back, making it one of South Carolina's best, if not the best, release in recent time. With the right push this album could cross state boundaries and make a much needed impact on southern hip hop. I recommend this to listeners tired of the 2-step rap, really wanting to hear what the south has to say. For a listener's first impression of South Carolina, this 2 Man Tantrum is a good start.
