Yay! After months of trying I just got into the showcase at www.slicethepie.com where I have the chance to raise 15,000 British Pounds (AU$30,000 depending on the strength of the dollar)for recording and marketing expenses. I am one of 24 bands/artists selected worldwide in the showcase.

http://www.slicethepie.com is a music website based in the U.K. where online listeners review the music and leave a rating from 1-10. It is a new form of funding records by fans. If you want to invest and own a piece of my album, go to the site and invest in me :).

There are many perks of being an investor - free downloads, access to un-released songs for feedback and your name in my album credits for a start! You get a return on your investment in royalties if the album does well.

If I do not reach yhe goal of 15,000 Pounds, you will get your investment paid back in full.

What I get through Slicethepie is access to a team who has been in the industry and has connections to help me. I can choose my own producer and studio and tracks and have full artistic control, but input on the way from investors is also welcome. It is a simple process to register on the site. They have many FAQ's to help you. You can invest as little as one pound ($2) or 5 pounds which will get you the full album as a free download when it is made.
