Many people are criticizing Kanye West, as well as other rappers for singing, instead of doing what they are known for, rapping. As an artist, there should be no limitations, or boundaries  when creating your art. If an artist blocks out the idea of trying new things, that only hurts the growth in  their music. I went through this for many years; fighting with the thought that I have to rap, and not only rap, but rap about certain things. I wasted many great ideas because I didn’t think that type of sound would be accepted. Thank God I was able to move pass that ignorant mind frame. Whether you want to sing, rap, scream, or hum, it is your music, do whatever you want! Whenever you’re recording music, the main goal is to deliver that exact sound that you have in your mind.
