Saw "Dates" at Pressure Point, Brighton tonight. Good songs about life in the modern world. These old-timers are worth seeing, Go, Go, Go.
Also on the bill was a really good rocking but tuneful band called Leader; good tunes, good harmonies and the added bonus of the mini-est of mini-skirts (for the lady guitarist) Nice...
Also saw Patrik Fitzgerald at The 12 Bar Club, London recently. This was a great gig in a great venue. Patrik is such a unique artist, at around 50 years old and not exactly prominent, I expected the audience to be fairly aged, but no! There was no shortage of young people singing along (they knew all the words) and dancing, to mainly just acoustic guitar and voice. Fantastic!
He now lives in New Zealand so I guess we won't see him around these parts again for a while.
Played my own gig with The Formulators last week too, at The Mint Resturaunt Music Bar, Brighton. This went pretty good and we are returning there in November.
