The Guy from NY keeps us going with the Weekly Positives, while O and 7 keep it right for you week to week in the club. If you don't know, Scribble Jam down in Cincinnati was this past weekend. It's a huge Hip Hop Festival they hold in the Nati, erry year....check it out http://www.scribblemagazine.com/ Needles to say, I have been almost every year and this year I was going to just chill and not go....BUT.....
On Monday, I got a call from my man "Superstar" Dave Dar. Dave is a world famous recording engineer. He has worked with everybody from Kweli, the Mary J, to Jay- Z. He told me he was flying in to Columbus to go down to Scribble Jam and wanted to know if he could get a ride....I was like I probably am not gonna go....Then I get a call from DJ Rhettmatic of the World Famous Beat Junkies, and he's gonna be there, then I get a call from Wordsworth and he's gonna be there......needless to say, I called Dave back and told him I was rollin.....on the ride down, Dave blessed me with mad stories about the recording studio, how Jay doesn't write anything down, how Jadakiss does his
rhymes the same way.....etc. It was incredible. When we got there we linked up with Kurious and Rhett and I introduced 'em to DONATOS! They was feeling it....Even Kurious, who said "I'm from NY and we know pizza", couldn't front on it! That night we kicked it with everybody, Sean Price, Starang Wonda, Tek & Steele, Black Milk, Jaz-O, Wise Intelligent (his show was SICK)
On Sunday, my man King Solomon brought Dave through to take a look at the lab, and Dave came through and blessed me. Hooked stuff up right and got things sounding good! Then I get a call from my man Steve Allen. He has Bad AZZ from the DOGG POUND in town and they wanna come through and record....HUH?
So wait til yall hear that cut!!! WHEW! J Rawls featuring Bad AZZ.....are y'all ready!?!?
